The Nobel Tutoring Service is nerdy.nel’s brand of professional math tutoring, coaching, and mentorship. Nobel is certified by the National Tutoring Association as an Advanced-level professional tutor. Nobel delivers over 21 years of cumulative tutoring experience, a strong work ethic, patience, diligence, and passion in every session. Nobel’s proven track record of improved academic performance and increased understanding of coursework has led to long-lasting friendships and continual recommendations from tutees, parents, and faculty.

Professional Math Tutoring – services include classwork review, homework help, topic mastery, and practice problems for the following:
- Mathematics – all levels up to Calculus III
- Statistics – all levels up to college-level statistics
Professional Test Prep – services include test-taking strategies, sample test problems, and simulated tests (within allotted session time), for the following:
- New York State standardized math tests, grades 3 through 8
- Regents exams in Algebra I and II, and Geometry
- Mathematical/quantitative sections of standardized primary school, high school, and college entrance exams
- Advanced Placement (AP) exams in mathematics and statistics
Math Coaching – this service cultivates key skills, such as time management, task prioritization, self-motivation, and goal setting, to help you master math and achieve greater academic success on your terms. Whereas knowledge is typically “poured in” during a tutoring session, knowledge is instead drawn out in a coaching session.
Math Mentorship – this service uses Nobel’s vast experience with mathematics to provide academic and professional guidance, and help you gain the confidence and skills necessary to meet your goals. If you’re wondering where and how math skills will help you professionally and in life, this is the service for you.
Nobel divides tutorial services into four payment levels – Primary, Intermediate, Collegiate, and Advanced; the Advanced level is further divided into two tiers. For more information on tutorial services, refer to section [2.0] of the 2025-2026 brochure.

Transaction Fee
3.9% of billed charges, or the applicable payment processing fee, whichever is less. Applies if you pay your bill using any method other than Zelle, debit cards, prepaid cards, or cash.
Travel Fee
$15 per session. Applies to in-person sessions only.
Cancellation Fee
$0 if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance
$25 if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, or no-show a session
Nobel accepts various forms of payment, including cash (in-person sessions only), Zelle, Cash App, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and debit, credit, and prepaid cards. Nobel accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express cards, and processes card payments using Square Point-of-Sale. Nobel offers three types of discounts – a group discount, a referral discount, and a loyalty discount. Nobel also offers discounted prepaid bundles for 6 sessions, 10 sessions, or 15 sessions.
